Sports and Health Analytics Research (6-7 October) - 2020 Online Workshop I UOC

The 2020 Workshop on “Sports and Health Analytics Research” was organized online on 6-7 October and gathered researchers from different disciplines to share knowledge and common interests regarding the application of data science and analytics research to the sports and health sector integrating a gender perspective.

This video includes interviews with some of the participating speakers and experts: María Martín (Director of the Pshychosocial Research in Sport research group, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), Lidia Arroyo (researcher at the Gender and ICT research group, IN3 - Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Capitolina Díaz (professor of Sociology at Universitat de València. Former president of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT)), Georgina Pujol-Busquets Guillén (PhD student at University of Cape Town and lecturer at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Javier Peña (researcher at Sport Performance Analysis research group, Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya), Montser Bellver (head of medical services at the High-Performance Sports Center of Catalonia (CAR)), and Armando Nieto (chair of Divina Pastora Seguros).

Event organized by the Spanish Network on Sports and Health Analytics Research with a Gender Perspective (SHARP), financed by the High Council for Sports (CSD), Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport (Ref. 09/UPR/20), and coordinated by FoodLab (UOC Faculty of Health Sciences), Research Group ICSO of the IN3, and Research Group GenTIC of the IN3.
